How Does it Work?
An alternative to individual coaching is group coaching. It is perfect for organizations, associations, and groups who wish to offer non-financial retirement planning to their employees or members. Group coaching is much more interactive as each member defines, explores, and opens new thoughts and ideas about retirement.
It’s a wonderful opportunity to gain insight not only from a retirement coach, but from other people navigating retirement along with you. Group coaching fosters connection, shared learning, and fresh perspectives—helping participants feel less alone and more prepared for what’s ahead.
This is a structured 6-session program with each session focusing on one or two key areas and the last session dedicated to developing a concrete action plan. Sessions will include an overview of the key area (e.g., social relationships in retirement), exercises, group discussion, and breakout rooms to discuss topics and ideas in smaller groups.

One-on-One “Work For Meaning” Coaching Program for Gen Xers
3-month, 6 Session Package
What Will You Learn?
Six in ten Americans plan to transition into their next chapter rather than stop working on a single date. They’re consulting, freelancing, starting something new, or shifting to work that actually fits. The question isn’t whether to keep working. It’s how to make sure the work is worth doing. This program helps you figure that out. The program is designed to help you:
- Clarify what meaningful work looks like at this stage of life and create a realistic path forward
- Work on your own terms
- Create a work life that fits the broader context of your life so that you’re designing a meaningful life, not just a job or career
- Shift to work for meaning in a way that reflects your values and what’s most important to you
- Provide a 90-Day Action Plan for you to explore what’s next
Who Is This Program For?
Maybe work still pays the bills but no longer feels satisfying. Maybe you’ve been laid off and aren’t sure what you actually want next. Or, maybe you’re thinking about early retirement and don’t want to “stop working” so much as stop doing work that no longer fits. Maybe you’re simply ready to stop doing work on someone else’s terms, and start doing it on your own terms. But, you’re not sure what exactly you want to do or how to get there. If you’re ready to be thoughtful about what comes next, without pressure to make a dramatic leap, then this program is for you.
This program is ideal for people who are:
- Still working but feeling stuck and craving more meaning
- Recently laid off and figuring out what’s next
- Considering “retirement” but wish to continue working in some capacity and on your own terms
How Does it Work?
One-on-one coaching is personalized support focused on you and what matters most to you. In regular video or phone sessions, we’ll focus on:
- “The WHY: Why Meaning, Why Now?” We start with your current situation: what’s prompting this question, what feels unsustainable or missing, and what you’re no longer willing to organize your life around. It’s about starting your “work for meaning” journey with a solid foundation or anchor. You leave with a clear understanding of why this work matters to you right now.
- “The WHAT: What Kind of Work Fits?” We explore your core sources of meaning, energy patterns, real-life constraints, and generate 2–3 viable directions, such as part-time work, consulting, creative projects, advocacy, and more. You leave with a Meaning Profile and a short, manageable Meaningful Work Shortlist of paths worth exploring.
- “The HOW: What’s Actually Feasible?” We take each option out of abstraction and into reality, examining time, energy, risk, and what you already bring, and without all-or-nothing thinking. You leave with a Feasibility Snapshot for each direction and clarity about where to focus first.
- “The ACTION: What’s the Next Right Step?” Rather than forcing a big decision, we design a 90-day meaningful work experiment: clear learning goals, 3–5 concrete actions, and built-in room to adjust as you go. You leave with a realistic 90-day Action Plan you can begin right away.
